The current unpredictable weather in Karachi proved its toll on its people throughout the month and before that i.e. even in the holy month of Ramadhan. The fasts indeed became longer than they seemed while the Muslims displayed great determination towards their religious endeavors. However it is true the toil was eminent due to the incessant heat in the past two months.

Lack of rains in the city of Karachi and the current global warming conditions has posed great questions for the deteriorating conditions of the health of the hair. The dampness and on the other hand great dryness has caused great concern for the residents of the people especially in the tropical regions.

LIASC in these extreme weather scenarios always advises an option which ensures neither the hair should be suffocated nor exposed unnecessarily causing burnt hair or dirt collection. A few of the measures that need to be taken in these conditions would include:

1. Maintenance of the cleanliness of the hair to avoid unnecessary breakage caused by sweat and dirt.

2. It is imperative to maintain the proper management of your hair in terms of tying up with bands which doesn’t cause breakage of the hair due to pulling or removal.

3. Similarly if the weather is extremely humid and damp, the hair should be given some breathing environment in a day to ensure the air reaches the scalp and the hair follicles effectively.

4. On the other hand in cases of extreme dryness measures should be taken to ensure the scalp is moisturized with proper oiling and conditioners to strengthen the hair follicles and their roots.

Such conditions should be kept in mind in terms of hair management and maintenance in the extreme climatical conditions and zones. By following these simple reminders, dire consequences could be avoided.
